L e lagon de Prickly Pear East correspond à l’image même du paradis, ce qui explique son succès auprès des catamarans de day-charter, seuls autorisés à y mouiller. Les autres bateaux doivent utiliser les bouées installées par le Marine Park au sud de l’île, puis rejoindre le lagon en annexe en contournant la pointe. La longue barrière de corail de Seal Island abrite une profusion de poissons, dans un courant parfois soutenu. Rappelons que Prickly Pear fait partie du Marine Park et qu’il est interdit d’y passer la nuit. Un restaurant de plage accueille également les visiteurs. T he lagoon of Prickly Pear East is the very image of paradise, which explains its popularity with day-charter catamarans, the only boats allowed to anchor inside. Other vessels must use the mooring buoys placed by the Marine Park south of the island, then reach the lagoon by dinghy, rounding the point. The long coral reef of Seal Island shelters a dazzling variety of fish, though currents can sometimes be strong. Prickly Pear is part of the Marine Park, and overnight stays are prohibited.
