L ’entrée dans le lagon de Simpson Bay est possible grâce à deux ponts levants, l’un à Sandy Ground (partie française), gratuit ; l’autre à Simpson Bay (partie hollandaise), payant. Le «Causeway», Un troisième pont, tournant, est situé dans le lagon entre les deux ponts levants. Un chenal de 2,50 mètres de profondeur existe entre la partie française et la partie hollandaise du lagon. Il est impératif de naviguer dans ce chenal avec la plus grande prudence. Les balises ne sont pas toutes installées entre le pont de Sandy Ground et le Causeway, mais les épaves ont normalement toutes été retirées. Le chenal est en revanche balisé entre le Causeway et le pont de Simpson Bay. VHF 16 – 05 90 77 31 26 E ntry to the Simpson Bay Lagoon is possible thanks to two drawbridges, one at Sandy Ground (French side), for free; the other at Simpson Bay (Dutch side), with the payment of a fee. A third bridge, a swing bridge called the Causeway, is located inside the lagoon between the two lift bridges. There is an 8ft deep channel between the French and the Dutch side of Simpson Bay lagoon. It is imperative to use extreme caution when navigating this channel. The beacons between the Sandy Ground Bridge and The Causeway are not always there, but sunken ships have all recently been removed from the lagoon. However, the beacons between The Causeway and Simpson Bay Bridge are there.
