Réserve Naturelle C réée en 1998, la Réserve naturelle nationale de Saint-Martin s’étend sur 3 060 hectares, au nord-est de la partie française. La partie marine de la Réserve, d’une superficie de 2 900 hectares, est située sur le plateau qui s’étend entre les îles d’Anguilla, de Saint-Martin et de Saint-Barthélemy. Riche de grands écosystèmes que sont les mangroves, les herbiers de phanérogames marines, les récifs coralliens, les forêts littorales et les étangs, la Réserve naturelle de Saint-Martin abrite une faune et une flore marines et terrestres diversifiées,parmi lesquelles plusieurs espèces protégées.
